Ko Lanta – idyllic island where diversity is appreciated

Ko Lanta, itself renowned as a family island, has previously taken an active stance against sex tourism in conjunction with EPCAT International.  Residents of, and visitors to Ko Lanta, also offer annual support to a UK charity foundation based in the North West of Thailand, seeking to end the persecution and exploitation of displaced children with ethnic roots within Myanmar. GayLanta.net assures the HLBT society that it will enjoy a warm and unprejudiced reception from the island’s multi-cultural, mixed-faith community, given that they embrace the wisdom of the Dalai Lama’s instructions for life – Respect for Self, Respect for Others, Responsibility for All of one’s Actions.
Initially, Ko Lanta attracted the bulk of its’ annual visitors during the peak season, from October to March. Now however, more and more guests are discovering that the green season from April to September, offers less expensive accommodation, quieter beaches and weather that remains warm whilst including some tropical monsoon rain.  An additional attraction for many is the flourishing natural scenery that bursts forth at this time of year, hence the term “Green” season. GayLanta.net is delighted to applaud the introduction of the new Thai Constitution 2007. This marks further positive implementation of legal equality for all, regardless of ethnic origin, religious background and sexual preference or status, as emphasized within section 5.
